Goldendoodle Generations

F1 Goldendoodle

Golden Retriever x Poodle (50% Poodle/50% Golden Reteriver) 

Some will shed a little to none, but nothing like a Golden Retriever.

F1b Goldendoodle

F1 Goldendoodle x Poodle (75% Poodle/25% Golden Reteriver) 

Most of F1b's are non-shedding.

F1bb Goldendoodle

F1bb Goldendoodle x Poodle 

Most of F1bb backcrossed back with a poodle and are non-shedding. However, if an F1bb is backcrossed with a Golden Retriever they will have more of the Golden traits which could mean more shedding these are known as Reversed F1bb. 

F2 Goldendoodle

F1 Goldendoodle x F1 Goldendoodle (50% Poodle/50% Golden Retriever) 

Some will shed a little to none, but nothing like a Golden Retriever.

F2b Goldendoodle

F1 Goldendoodle x F1b Goldendoodle (62.5% Poodle/37.5% Golden Reteriver) 

Usually do not shed and are similar to the F1b generation. 

F3 Goldendoodle

F3 Goldendoodle consist of these combinations; Any F2 x F2 = F3

or F1b x F1b. They can have a range of coats from wavey coat to curly coat.

Multigenerational Goldendoodle 

Multigenerational Goldendoodles are any doodle that goes past the second generation. The coat types can vary with this generation depending on parents' genes. (F3, F1bb, and F2b are perfect examples of multigenerational Goldendoodles)
